- Festive outfits, a Navratri backdrop, LED booth lighting and bold props made a true explosion of colour.
- A custom Navratri welcome screen and overlay made every photo part of the celebration.
- Planning a cultural celebration? We will theme the booth around it.
Navratri is one of the most joyful, colourful festivals of the year, and this October we had the pleasure of bringing our photo booth to a Navratri celebration. From the moment the first guests arrived in their festive outfits, we knew the photos were going to be something special.
Colour from every direction
Great photo booth pictures start with what is in front of the camera, and this crowd brought it. Rich teal jackets, intricately patterned waistcoats, and sarees and lehengas shimmering with gold detail gave every frame depth and warmth before anyone had even picked up a prop.
Behind them, the Navratri backdrop added gold lettering, hanging lanterns and a floral garland along its base, while the booth itself glowed with LED edge lighting in pink, purple and blue. Put together, it made a beautiful explosion of colour in every shot.

Our custom Navratri welcome screen, the props table ready for action, and a guest getting the booth started.
A welcome screen and overlay made for the night
Every package includes a custom overlay and welcome screen, and for Navratri we went all in on the theme. Marigold garlands, a mandala pattern and an illustrated dancer greeted guests as they stepped up, and illustrated dancers framed each photo on the overlay. Every picture feels unmistakably part of the celebration, not a generic booth shot.
Props that pop
The prop table was a riot of colour of its own: inflatable guitars, microphones and a boombox in orange, pink and yellow, plus neon shutter-shade glasses. Bold, grab-and-pose props like these photograph brilliantly against festive outfits, and they are quick to pick up, so the queue keeps moving. Our guide to photo booth props that actually get used has more ideas.
Why bright colours make such good photo booth pictures
- Even, flattering light. The booth's ring light lights faces softly and evenly, so saturated colours come out rich rather than muddy.
- Contrast does the work. Bright props against jewel-toned outfits make each person stand out, even in big group shots.
- A theme ties it together. A matching welcome screen, overlay and backdrop turn a set of photos into a collection that clearly belongs to one event.
Planning a colourful celebration of your own?
Whether it is Navratri, Diwali, Eid, a mehndi or sangeet, or any cultural celebration, a few things help the colour shine:
- Theme the overlay and welcome screen around your celebration. It is included in every package.
- Pick a backdrop that complements the outfits rather than competing with them, or go fully bespoke with our Luxury package.
- Choose bold, bright props and let your attendant keep the table stocked.
- Encourage guests to dress up. At a celebration like this, they will.
We bring the booth to celebrations in Leicester, London, Derby and across the UK. Browse more real event photos, or check your date to see if we are free.
